Does Wyoming Have State Income Tax?
Wyoming does not have a state income tax and there is no State of Wyoming 1040 tax form issued by the Wyoming Department of Revenue. Wyoming state and local governments generate revenue primarily from sales tax, property tax, liquor and cigarette tax, and mineral income taxes. Residents of Wyoming must still file federal income tax forms each year.

Wyoming does not have a state 1040 tax form, however, residents living in the state of Wyoming may still need to file a Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR federal income tax return each year. The deadline for filing a federal form 1040 return for the 2023 tax year is April 15, 2024.
