Oklahoma Income Tax Rate 2023 - 2024
Oklahoma state income tax rate table for the 2023 - 2024 filing season has six income tax brackets with OK tax rates of 0.25%, 0.75%, 1.75%, 2.75%, 3.75% and 4.75% for Single, Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, and Head of Household statuses.
The Oklahoma tax rates decreased 0.25% in 2022 while the bracket amounts remain unchanged. Previously, for example, the rates were 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%. Subtract each rate by 0.25% to get the current year income tax rates.
Oklahoma income tax rate and tax brackets shown in the table below are based on income earned between January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. Outlook for the 2024 Oklahoma income tax rate is to remain unchanged.

Oklahoma Tax Brackets 2023 - 2024
Looking at the tax rate and tax brackets shown in the tables above for Oklahoma, we can see that Oklahoma collects individual income taxes differently for Single versus Married filing statuses, for example. We can also see the progressive nature of Oklahoma state income tax rates from the lowest OK tax rate bracket of 0.25% to the highest OK tax rate bracket of 4.75%.
For single taxpayers living and working in the state of Oklahoma:
- Tax rate of 0.25% on the first $1,000 of taxable income.
- Tax rate of 0.75% on taxable income between $1,001 and $2,500.
- Tax rate of 1.75% on taxable income between $2,501 and $3,750.
- Tax rate of 2.75% on taxable income between $3,751 and $4,900.
- Tax rate of 3.75% on taxable income between $4,901 and $7,200.
- Tax rate of 4.75% on taxable income over $7,200.
For married taxpayers living and working in the state of Oklahoma:
- Tax rate of 0.25% on the first $2,000 of taxable income.
- Tax rate of 0.75% on taxable income between $2,001 and $5,000.
- Tax rate of 1.75% on taxable income between $5,001 and $7,500.
- Tax rate of 2.75% on taxable income between $7,501 and $9,800.
- Tax rate of 3.75% on taxable income between $9,801 and $12,200.
- Tax rate of 4.75% on taxable income over $12,200.
For the Single, Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, and Head of Household filing statuses, the OK tax rates and the number of tax brackets remain the same. Notice, however, the Oklahoma income tax brackets for Married Filing Jointly increase from $1,000 to $2,000 at 0.75%, and increase from $7,200 to $12,200 at 4.75% the highest tax bracket. For the first five income tax brackets, Married Filing Separately taxable income ranges are one half that of Married Filing Jointly in the state of Oklahoma.
