What Is Mississippi Form 80-105?
Mississippi Form 80-105 is the individual income tax return for full-year residents to file their state taxes.
The purpose of Form 80-105 is to determine how much Mississippi income tax you owe for the year.
Part-year residents and nonresidents must file Form 80-205 instead of Form 80-105.
Mississippi does not currently offer a short-form option.

Who Must File Mississippi Form 80-105?
If you are a Mississippi resident or have income from Mississippi that exceeds the allowable deductions, you must file a tax return. If you received a W-2 showing Mississippi tax withheld, you must file for a refund, even if you're not required to file. The deduction thresholds according to the 2024 Form 80-105 instructions booklet are as follows:
- Single resident taxpayers: gross income over $8,300 plus $1,500 for each dependent.
- Married resident taxpayers: gross income over $16,600 plus $1,500 for each dependent.
- Minor resident taxpayers: gross income over the personal exemption plus the standard deduction according to the minor's filing status.
