South Carolina Income Tax Rate 2024 - 2025
South Carolina state income tax rate table for the 2024 - 2025 filing season has three income tax brackets with SC tax rates of 0%, 3% and 6.2% for Single, Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, and Head of Household statuses. The top South Carolina tax rate decreased from 6.4% to 6.2% this year. A couple of years ago, the number of SC tax brackets decreased from six to three.

Outlook for the 2025 South Carolina income tax rate is to decrease further from 6.2% to 6.1%. Recent legislation titled the South Carolina Income Tax Act stipulates a 0.10% income tax rate reduction until a 6% target is reached.
