IRS E-File Tax Returns Opens 1/14/2011
E-File is the way by which you transmit your income tax return electronically to the IRS. While it would be nice if you could transmit your income tax return to the IRS whenever you’d like, there is such a thing as an IRS E-File Calendar. For the 2010 income tax year the IRS will open it’s E-File tax return system on 1/14/2011. You can still purchase e-file software and prepare your income tax return online using the latest free and premium e-file software from H&R Block At Home and TurboTax. Just keep in mind that transmission of your IRS tax return wont physically happen until the IRS E-File system opens for business.
