When Are 2014 Income Taxes Due? April 15, 2015

Calendar year 2014 federal income taxes are due on the regularly scheduled April 15 tax due date. While April 15 of each year is the day to remember in regards to filing your income taxes, it is not always the deadline to file. If April 15 falls on a weekend or holiday, additional time may be given to taxpayers. This year your federal income tax return must be postmarked on or before April 15, 2015. April 15 is a Wednesday. Taxpayers can request a six-month extension to file their income tax return. The request is made using Form 4868, which can be filed electronically or by mail.
