How We Obtain Our Data
We continuously analyze publicly available data on a rotating basis. Our goal is to list and discuss as many federal and state income tax forms as we can each year. Income tax rates and any related income tax news is also of interest to us. We review a variety of data sources to accomplish our goals. Below are examples of the sources we use to compile our data:
- The Internal Revenue Service website.
- Over 50 state government taxing authority websites.
- Leading income tax preparation service websites.
- Income tax preparation training courses.
- Accounting and Finance related research materials.
- Feedback from CPA, EA, and Tax Attorneys.
- Feedback from individual income tax filers.
Our articles, data tables, graphs, and content generally refer back to the main data sources as a citation or reference link.
Please contact us if you have any questions about our data collection practices. We do not share or license our data with third parties, however, if you need to hire a freelance writer or income tax analyst contact us to work together.
